Which enclosed VWR Intake are you referring to Graham? I thought APR had the only enclosed intake on the market for the Mk7 at the moment?

I'm very interested. I wonder if it will be much noisier than the standard set up and how much it will be?

Lack of noise is a concern for me but every post has said it will be competitively priced

I know its really the wrong weather to be thinking of things like this but what do you guys think of the whole removing the weather strip in the engine bay thing? I think I may try and find a low profile strip as i have an open cone filter, cant think of a decent reason other than noise to do it for an enclosed system tho..

I was thinking maybe some of this stuff again http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007H736YG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1#productDetails

I used it on my doors (as some of you may have seen already) as they swing wildly on mine, and I know it looks a bit funny but its worth it...

Well update for you, email from supplier saying due to demand they are unable to ship me the product, that plus the instructions being taken down from aprs website makes me wonder if they've realised only an idiot would buy this and have cancelled production lol

ok so prices for the uk are out....http://www.awesomegti.com/car/vw/golf-mk-7/apr-1-8t-2-0t-turbo-muffler-delete

are you taking the proverbial APR? £149 UK when its $149 in the US. Thats £92 in case anyone is wondering, so an extra £50 for the privilege of being in the UK?

If anyone makes a DIY version or finds a realistically priced version, please let me know.

£150 is ridiculous for that. I wouldn't bother.

Ok so as per my ramblings in the post above, my door protector arrived and I installed it this morning in lieu of the big chunky rubber weather strip...

Now as I mentioned earlier there's not much point unless you have an open cone or just wanna hear your engine some more but I can't argue with the results from those mk6s. I'll let you know if I have water ingress troubles too
