Changing brakes
« on: 08 October 2014, 16:51 »
Hi i currently have a mk4 Gti T.
I have 312mm brakes on the front and unsure of what to have on the back?
They are currently 256mm but can I have the 232 instead? Is this easy for a mechanic to do?

Why do you want to go smaller?

256mm rears are vented and 232 are solid, the have different calipers & backing plates so ideally both will need swapping.
Can I ask why go to 232mm? (I know there's a price difference between the 2 but for £20 is it worth it?)

You're the only person I have heard talking about downgrading...

p.s. I'll happily swap my 232 set up for your 256's.
