Help! engine oil leak

Robracer nice and clean AGG 8V block.

xAntiVenxm your leak could be dripping down from the rubber rocker gasket, or dizzy o ring seal some times the only way on a engine that has been used for a while is to get some self dissolving engine or brake cleaner and clean the area where you think the leak is.
Only ever use a pressure washer if your confident the water wont affect the electrics and you have the time to dry everything off.

Robracer  my oil leak is on the end where the engine stand is!

The only seals that can leak on the gearbox end of the block is the crankshaft oil seal, common leak area by the way. Or the that end of the oil sump? I found a threaded m6 thread on the bottom of the crankshaft oil plate, so I tapped that out to an M8 thread. It's,best to replace all seals if you can mate

Thanks man. Replacing rocker gasket (and therefore throttle and intlet manifold gasket too) is on my to-do list for next paycheck.

Got some engine degreaser spray coming my way this week as well  so will clean the block down and see if it reveals anything!

A coreplug could be at fault?
But I managed to go through 2.5 litres of de-greaser cleaning everything! But its worth it..

I've gone for the oem clean look. i work in the automotive carbon industry

This new engine of mine was assembled with a new crank seal.
It was taken apart again to sort the squirters but fitted back correctly???
That's the bit I'm not sure of and my thoughts are a missing bolt

Looks like you have a hidden leak? All you can do is take things apart till you see it. Not very helpful i know but you don't have many other options..

As i said at the start the seal could have bent back on itself. I had the same issue. When i put my new victor seal on i slapped on loads of oil and it slid on nicely and i double checked it to make sure it didnt do a repeat

Its very easy to damage a new seal on assembly. 

Just because its new doesn't rule it out.
