Right then chaps,
The Golf R400 is confirmed for production as i'm sure most of us know already. I was just reading an interesting article about it which states that the hold-up is VW Engineers having to redesign a new DSG box that can handle the amount of torque.

They are looking at using the up-coming 10 speed DSG box for this purpose. However the Torque figures were reported as only 450NM and APR tuned MK7 GTI's are having 477NM of Torque thrown through them at Stage 1 so why do they need a new DSG box?

Oh and just a little reminder to all you guys jumping ship to the R from the GTI. Remember that this bad boy is likely to be out in 1-2 years time in the UK

I'll be swapping my GTI in then
