mk4 gti traction control disabled

mk4 gti running rich so cleaned stock maf, problem persisted so replaced maf entirely :tongue: post maf replacement, traction control disabled itself, i unplugged the maf sensor multiple times, let the rpm's change, plugged it back in again, and still the traction control ceased to activate, car is also still running rich, no traction control isnt a huge problem or anything, i'd just like for the light to go away, thanks for any help

You might have to get someone to reset the fault codes on vag-com, as some fault codes don't dissapear.

or if you dont have one / dont know anyone that has a vag-com, reset the ecu by unplugging the battery / touching the positive and negative connectors together (i think thats how you do it anyway)

Not really sure how an maf sensor would affect traction control either to be honest haha

From my experience in having the same problem the cause of your traction control light remaining on is down to a) your brake light switch on your pedal or b) the yaw sensor (esp sensor unit) just to the left of your steering column under the cowling.
