The TR demo me and mcmaddy demoed was very dull - seemed like it had never been washed and definitely had no polish/sealant/wax on it. Good cleaning products really can make the red glow in most lights.
You're spot on Matthew. It looked like it hadn't been washed/prepped at all. You'd think if they knew people were test driving it they would have put a bit of effort in. I didn't like the dsg box either but having driven a friends Skoda superb estate which it suits extremely well it's kind of grown on me.
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.

Are you sure this is Limestone grey?

They produce Platinum grey met, Zinngrau gray met, along with the Limestone/Silvers for the GTI in Germany and this is where it is filmed?

thanks mihaelo1

I sent off an email and will see if the dealer can change it.  I guess it will need to start at the beginning of the queue again, so will drag the order out a little. (it that's how it works)

On a positive side - if he can't change it I am happy with the Tornado Red as a default free option, so i guess its a win win...

Yeah fair points,  Limestone Grey it is...

The more i look at the colour the more it changes in each picture.  Someone said earlier it seems to draw a lot of reflections from other things.

Like this video, some parts look bronze some panels look grey blue, weird.

These pics sealed it for me.

You've got to remember the car has been polished to an inch of its life here. You will probably be living with it at least 90% dirty or at least with a traffic film over it which will have a big effect on how the colour looks. Especially if you are basing your choice on it "drawing a lot of reflections from other things"

I was really keen on the Carbon. It was between that and white. In the showroom and in the sun, the Carbon was outstanding when clean. But then I seen a couple on the road on a normal overcast day and for me it had lost its outstanding appeal.
For me out of all the colours polished up and under the showroom lights Carbon would win every time but in normal overcast conditions it just doesn't do.

I think Limestone would give that sleeper effect. Non petrol heads would just think its a plain Golf which is maybe a good thing!?

Thanks P3asa

Totally agree it was the subtle/sleeper effect that we both wanted after some thought.

Order changed today before confirmed BW.  Dealer said it is still possible to be BW35+ but not confirmed yet.  I'm easy on delivery time scale as it allows me to save some cash as I know the fuel bill will be way more than i want it to be the first month
