Just parked next to a  64 plate R with Cadiz and front and rear hubs had noticeable rust even through the narrower Cadiz styling.

Is this not something they resolved? or plan to? anyone have any information on this as its pretty poor as obviously a model wide issue.

Was thinking of Pretoria on mine but given the open nature of the design the rust will look awful.

Mine in for servicing soon and as much as not expect anything to happen will be noting it as an issue that at least want response on. Mine just the rear though.

Yep mine were the same until re-painted with black smooth hammerite

Think that forms part of my annoyance in that they could be manufactured with a form of protection that would last a few years at least yet folk are having to hammerite them after sometimes only a few months and for me that is not really acceptable on a £30k car.

Given some alloys are of such a design that these hubs are in full view it becomes a must do job as a lot of money to spend on standout alloys for all anyone to notice is the rust behind it.

Just surprised how accepted it is that the owner resolves it themselves and is not seen as a real issue to address at source.

I've had rust on my rears as well after 1 year into ownership. Nothing that a few drops of Hammerite can't sort out.

Hammerite and brush => easiest fix. For spray you would have to mask the area around the wheel and arch to avoid overspraying the car.

My rears on the R are pretty bad now. Fronts are fine actually. Car is about 15 months old. I've been meaning to tackle them with the hammerite but haven't found the time / motivation. At this stage they'll wait till the Spring.
