The miltek gti was the reason I went night blue.  I have ordered some red badges for mine today and had it cleaned. Must say it looks amazing in this weather. Also a dark car look mean at night!

The bits that make this particular car stand out is the white lettering contrast.

Think NB looks great on a GTD with silver accents and still good but less so on the GTI with the Red as the contrast.

Its a great colour in the sun but does look quite modest on a cloudy day as does the CSG.

I'll be getting the red badges fitted to mine tomorrow. I'll upload a pic once I get it back so you can see what the red contrast is like against the NB

Although our car will be standard spec, not PP, so I'd be a bit of a fraud with the red badges. ;)

Okay I lied I can't post a pic of the red badges.... turned up at the dealer to have them fix my spoiler, fit the badges and fix my turbo. Left my car there at 8:30am and returned at 5:00pm to be told the badges didn't come in, they couldn't fix the spoiler so they need to order a new one and they don't know what's up with the turbo and are waiting for VW to get back to them. Great work Robinson VW!

Badges should be in next week. No idea about the other two issues.

A little update... Colour changed to red not long before getting the build week confirmed. No going back now! I do like the night blue, but having spent this evening polishing swirl marks out of my black scirocco and noticing the stone chips, I'm hoping the red will be a bit easier to live with. :)

You won't be sorry. There're not many bright red cars about at the moment. A Tornado Red GTI Mk7 is a real head turner. Mind you it's difficult to hide!  :smiley:

 Saw a NB GTD on the M6 earlier this week in the sunshine and have to agree it looked gorgeous sparkling away, lovely colour :cool:
