@Dipesh2031 Im not sure which insurance company your with, im guessing a main stream one, but my company Brent Achre (who specialise in tuned cars) dont charge anymore for coil overs. I mean damn, they only charged me £50 extra when i added 65bhp.

And Wigit is right, Eibach make the VWR springs, they are the exact same just painted in a different colour and £30 more. I think 15% more is a rip off and a waste of cash.

And in regards to drilling your airbox, jeeez....this is VW not a Vauxhall.

Ahh right, I didn't know that. I will try to get insured with them, they sound great.

They aren' just painted, I used to think this, but they are a custom linear rate spring developed for VWR and manufactured by eibach. Each to their own of course, just think they are great springs and for the extra price you get a different spring compared to the other springs, look up the vwr spring comparisons.

thanks for the tips people. Already have the standard rear leds but will look into doing skirts and rear diffuser. dont want to remap just yet as my age and i probably wont get insured but what youv said i will take on board. I thought a little K&N filter may have been a cheap quick mod that could mean little extra noise but obviously I was mistaken

As someone who runs VWR springs, I can confirm that they are manufactured by eibachs, and they come with a certificate. They are approved by VW
