008 is a recirc valve a splitter lets some of the air dump out atmospherically to get some wooooosh so I'm surprised you don't have much sound as it is!!!!

That cone filter looks cheap and nasty - I'd be replacing that with a decent on to begin with.
That is almost certainly a split r valve, it can be changed between a blow off and recirculating valve - you want it to be set to recirculating mode.

there sould be a round disc that screws in on the side of the dv
this is where it gose ps you may not have the disc here is a ebay link to one
