Hi can anyone help I've got a golf mk2 barn find with no v5 or plates I carnt do a hip check because they need the reg and vw dealers will not give me reg how can I get hold of the reg to get the v5 any help would be greatfull kind regards tom

get the chassis number take it to vw

Hi thanks for the reply I tried to go to vw dealers to obtain a part for it but they would not disclose the reg number to me so I'm lost to do next it's so frustrating. Kind regards tom

have you checked all windows to see if your reg number is etched on any of them?

Help needed I've got a mk2 golf barn find with no plates or v5 there is no etching on window and be dealers would not disclose rev to me when I try'd to get parts for it carnt do a hpi check as I need the I need to apply for a v5 can anyone help kind regards tom

As first reply, get the chassis number.

But contact DVLA and ask them, even if you have to re-register it it's no big issue
