Discover Pro Software update issue
« on: 31 March 2014, 00:11 »
I had known problem of Discover Pro language reverting to German and navigation maps freezing.  Software update was the answer to this problem…

I had my software updated to the latest (0200) by the dealer and on my first journey with navigation on the map froze again.

I will take it back but the dealer will find nothing wrong.
I took several videos showing the map not changing.  Will that prove anything as far as the dealer is concerned?
Anyone else had thous issue?
paid £1000 for navigation system and it should work.
Please no  replies about what a waste of money, how good Tom Tom is etc… Just want someone else who has had this solved :)…or what I should do if dealer says the system looks fine to him.
Thanks

I'd agree, either the unit needs a full reset/HDD format first before uploaded the navigation software or a replacement unit.
I would push the dealership to act based on your evidence.

Update, the maps froze again in exactly the same place as the last freeze!!

The dealer is taking the car in for a few days to run tests recommended by VW tech.

Just wondered what this could be and what they could find?
