Hi P9ul,

Sorry to hear of your wait... I collected my car on Friday afternoon, which was even sooner than I expected.
I think the timing of the ferry and transport musts have aligned just so.

It's worth the wait though it's absolutely awesome mate. I have a couple of I phone pics but not sure how to upload...

Regards
dBrian

Nothing for me :o(

Wonder if having a winge to VW will get me any freebies, it's been a week since I got 5b which says 3 weeks to the dealer, so a fortnight left but my dealer says the delivery from the port to them can take up to 10 days and then they want 5 after that to prep the car....

We were originally told early June for delivery but seeing as the car was built 2 weeks ago I thought they'd get a shift on so they could start getting some money back off it.

Finally got my 5c email.

I was on marine traffic last night and the shelde highway arrives in Grimsby in the early hours tomorrow and I'm sure it then moves onto port of Tyne so hopefully my car will be uk soil sometime tomorrow evening.

Looking forward to my 6 of 7 email over the weekend now!

Hope so, but that probably means my cars been unloaded at Grimsby!

As far as I can tell the shops take around 24 hrs to get from emden to Grimsby and then take about 10 hrs before they're on their way again.

Either way, it's getting closer!

Hi, sorry for not updaing you on progress of my car. I got the message last Friday from VW to say car was at the dealers (JCB Gillingham) ready for collection - so I thought I was ahad of everyone , but the actual dealer can't let me collect it until Tuesday.

I'm away next week and have arranged to pick it up on 12 May - so I'll now probably be the last

They'll only let me pay £1k by credit card.

I've arranged VW's free 7 day insurance which was easy to do - here's the details for this in case anyone is intersted:

Volkswagen offer seven day complimentary insurance the phone number 0800 3167892, they are open on a week day 8am to 9pm, Saturday 8am to 5pm, it is about a ten minute phone call and will ask details for yourself, the car, start date and Volkswagen retailer number.

I hope you all enjoy your new cars!
