Headlights
« on: 13 March 2014, 19:08 »
Hi guys, driving home tonight I noticed my headlights vibrate over bumps which is quite noticeable, a tad annoying and distracting. Does anyone else have this?

Another light question, do we only have one rear foglight even though there is a space in the cluster on the other side.

Lastly :p when the light switch in the car is switched to headlights it doesnt light up green as well as the front fog.

Cheers

Do you have Xenons? Could be the self levelling.

Hatchback Golf only ever had one fog tail light. Estates have two :)
So get yourself an estate :p

What do you mean when the car is switched to headlights? Auto mode or dipped beam?
In Auto it will only be green if lights are on (unless coding is changed so that tail lights run with DLRs already).
Front fog has its separate bulb in the switch. that should come on if you have front fogs running...

never have headlight switch in anything but auto (coded headlights to be always on anyway).

It's cheaper to only fit one foglight. It could also be argued that it's safer. Fog lights could possibly mask brake lights, so by only having one fog light on the off side, the nearside one is more noticeable to vehicles behind.

In theory, people following should never see your fog lights. If they are close enough to see your tail lights, your fog light will be dazzling them, therefore should be switched off.
