Glen?

Who speaks my name?

I'm no master of anything...especially ABFs!

I also have no idea on putting taller gearing on an ABF as I thought the standard 'box was awful enough (tall geared), so I was only interested in shortening the gearing.

I think my current VW Motorsport 6 speed semi-straight cut 'box does 18.5MPH/1000RPM in 6th, using a 4.2FD. As for taller ratiod' ABF 'boxes...no idea. The way I'd do it is to fit a VR6 FD to the ABF ratios...but that involves a gearbox re-build.

Reducing my Golf count by the week....
..but gaining motorcycles.

and len, is it an 02a gearbox? I would assume with hydro clutch and cable shift. just trying to find a suitable ratio box to fit on that's not so revvy, its killing me on fuel, and imafter a few longer ratios, hint why Im after a ctn box, a mate has one in his abf but is unsure on code, its off a diesel audi a3

Yes sorry 02a
