I paid 900 for a y reg, fsh, 142k on clock, bit of cosmetic damage, drivers side sill dent, drivers side back wing dent & scrape, but engine is sound so cosmetic don't bother and it won't cost much to sortout.

I paid £750 for an Audi 1.8t 119k on clock no damage

And it passed its (legitimate) MOT no advisories

Miles is mostly engine related and since it's technically an identical 20v turbo engine like in a GTi

Yeah i'm still looking. Waiting for the right one to pop up. Have put my Fiat up for sale now online. Was contemplating whether to try and sell or whether to use it as PX.

I have actually had some insurance quotes. And i was pleasantly surprised. They were lower than i expected, but then i suppose its not going to be too high for a 2001'ish Golf GTI with close to 100K on the clock and worth approx £1500/£1600.

Unfortunately £5K is not within my rather tight budget.
