Is 142K miles a lot when buying a used GTI?

I paid £3k for mine 3 years ago with 1 previous owner, huge history and 50k on the clock. It now has 80k on the clock and if I stuck it back to standard I'd want about £1500 for it...not that I'm going to sell it

bet you have nearly spent 3k on it since having it though  but your car looks great though

More like 4k to be honest, I'd never sell it as it is though so I'd see some of it back

can see mine being my sons 1st car as i know a will never get the money back

I paid 900 for a y reg, fsh, 142k on clock, bit of cosmetic damage,drivers side sill dent,drivers side back wing dent & scrape,but engine is sound so cosmetic don't bother and it won't cost much to sortout.
