Wind deflectors
« on: 03 February 2014, 06:41 »
Love them/hate them there is method in my madness, when ever it rains the roof seems to hold water on it as soon as start the car i lower the drivers window then when i turn left all the water comes off the roof though my window! Yes intelligent solution is dnt open the window stright away but i'm thinking these wind deflectors may act as a sort of guttering system any views?

Quite a few people here have them. I have fitted Team Heko ones to my Dads last two cars and they have worked really well. Air Con plays hell with my Mums breath for some reason, so with theses they can have the windows dropped a bit and not get any draft.

We had them for the same reason, getting wet every time we opened the windows drove us mad.

Not pretty, but they perform a function well.

Make sure you have a good shop about online as the prices vary quite dramatically.

I got mine from http://www.climairuk.com/ (a local company so I bought them from the 'shop') No clips to fit and they blend right in on a black car.
Mk VI Black Pearl GTD.... No Frills, replaced a Black Pearl PD150 Bora, which in turn replaced a Dragon Green VR6 which followed a Dusty Mauve MK III 8v Gti.

I always wonder about the fitment though.. don't they push into the rubbers around the window ?

Currently Standard !!

Yes, often with some small metal clips to push them in a bit tighter.

The team Heko ones I had came with the little metal clips but I never needed to use them, which made removing them when I sold the car much easier.
