R delivery time

Had a look at the pictures, and read a few posts on the thread... The owner is saying its the Carbon Nappa Leather option?! Doesn't look too much like it. I also think that the 19" Pretoria wheel option looks a little better than the standard wheel on the R, just my opinion of course.

Love the Lapis Blue though, a stunning colour and I also love the quad pipes at the back. Superb!

I'm not a fan of the standard alloys, but I'm going to whack some aftermarket ones in fairly soon after picking it up anyways! Haha.

I'm a little worried about the interior colour on mine. I've gone for standard cloth with no option given RE colour, but think the grey bolsters look worse than a Austin maestro.

Put the forms in on Friday, credit went through today and put the order in. Still umming and arring about one or two extras (DCC mainly). Apparently I've got a few weeks to make that decision.

It would be the first option I would be adding if I was going for an R purely because it has a race mode

If the R didn't have the dual DRL's I think you could easily drive past it and not give it a second look. Some people will like the wolf in sheep's clothing but it's too bland for me. I'm not saying that would prevent me from buying one in the future because I love the thought of 300bhp and 4wd but it's such a pity it's not more aggressive. Perhaps VW will offer more performance/styling parts for the R down the line.
