I don't think me and you will ever agree on anything, probably not on even when to disagree.

Being an architect, I do have an eye for proportions and how to emphasise or disguise them. Contrasting colours draw the eye and as I said before, I don't understand why someone would want to drawn attention to something that's not worth looking at.

I'm a colour technician

Off topic, I know, but good to find a fellow architect on here, although I am now retired.

Everyone will be influenced by their own experience.

I studied painting (fine art) and used to be a painter, so I see and look at colour combinations, juxtapositioning, tonal contrast, etc from that perspective.  I  think the yellow is not the right tone and is too chalky against the deep blue.  If it has to be a colour, something with more depth would be better.

I said black originally, but i think that was wrong as some color adds a different contrast. But i do have to say mate yellow is not the right color at all.

The GTI / GTD looks classy in blue, painted yellow just looks like a halfords mod. You have actually managed to take peoples eye away from what a nice car you own.

Im only 27, so im not being a golden oldie, but i think they would look a ton better if they were painted red. Red and blue go really nice on the GTI.

*Edit* - Cant believe you used a scissor jack, if that would have tipped or snapped (which often happens) you car would have smashed into the floor with no wheels on that side. That would have f*cked up all your disks and suspension. Stop buying yellow paint and buy a trolley jack.

Matty, you just keep them as you like.

I know, I actually have axel stands somewhere in the other half of the garage but I couldn't be bothered looking for them, and a trolley jack will be my next investment I promise ;)

Oh, and I hate to break it too you mate but 27 makes you a 'golden oldie' ;)  hahaha!! Maybe if you were my age again you'd agree ;) hahaha!

It draws attention to them. Why would you draw attention to something so small?

Mine are just as tiny, but they are silver and behind silver wheels kind of go unnoticed.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion I suppose!! Just think its something different to everyone else's car I suppose!
