Any ideas if I can do it without the 1.8t key?

Yes you'd just need someone to program in the keys to suit. AGU is very simple to do

Have to crack on with this at the weekend. What's the list of all the parts I need to change?

Right then you should have everything if you have a whole donor car the way I see it is strip the non turbo down. Remove the engine and loom gearbox driveshafts exhaust and ecu then do the same with the turbo and then put all the turbo stuff back in the non turbo.
Then find a tuner who will defeat the immobiliser on the ecu and that should be ur lot buddy you shouldn't have to buy anything but I would invest in some new engine mounts and possibly a clutch (as this would be the easiest time to do it) exhaust manifold gasket and anything else you bump into whilst doing the swap

GTI is not a trim level. It is a lifestyle.
1999 1.8t AGU, KO3s, forge 007p, silicone tip and charge pipe, oil catch can, SS turbo back system, pipercross CAI, g60/vr6 clutch, 40mm apex springs, drilled and grooved discs, stage 2 remap.
