What is the price of the genuine VW boot liner?

Also is there just one version or is there another. Thought I read somewhere about a reversible one which has a fold out bumper flat incorporated? Can't find any link to an accessory brochure on the Internet anywhere.

I've got the genuine VW one at a cost of £55, only fits boot at higher level and is a rip off for the price (it's a moulded, thin bit of plastic). The plastic is pretty hard and not tacky at all so unless the boot is full things move around in the boot when you go round a corner.

There are 2 versions of the genuine liner, the hard plastic one monkeytennis has and the foam one I have. My dealer had the plastic one in the showroom and I didn't like it. It was hard and cheap looking.

I ordered the cheaper foam one. Think it was £45.

Had one in my Polo and was perfect.

I got the foam one as a freebie. It's a good fit on the higher setting but doesn't really fit (not sure if I want to force it in to position at the risk of breaking it) with the boot in the lower but narrower position.

Does a good job of protecting the boot carpet but obviously won't protect the sides or seat backs unlike the hatchbag.

Anyone got the reversible boot liner with the flap that goes out over the bumper. Seems to be about £85 as a genuine part. Would like to hear anyone's thoughts on how good it is.

Hi Rhysh.

I have a GTD on order and test drove one with the wife's
guidedog in the boot with no problems at all, in facts she seemed
Happier than in our current 3series touring.

Hope that helps

Hi Woofwagon,

Thanks, as that's good to know as I have a labrador that's needs to fit in the boot.  May go down to dealer and have a closer look.

Btw a 3 series touring was my other option!

I have a Lab to go in the GTD as well. Haven't yet got the car but reckon it will be just fine. The 3 Touring might actually not be as good as the boot floor is quite high so the dog hasn't a lot of space between the floor and roof. In the Golf the dog should sit a bit lower, may be a bit less space from front to rear of boot but still adequate enough.
