recommend me some year-round tires

i'm running michelin pilot sport 3.  Have run pirelli and conti 3 in the past but michelins tops it so far. Any opinions welcome. ta

there isnt really, you can get GoodYear Eagle F1's which are great for 360 days a year, just not the other 5 days it snows.

the problem I found with the pilots is that they wear soooo fast, i'm getting 20-25k miles out of them and they are out of the window.  I can't say i'm driving like a maniac - well at least 99% of the time i am not  so barring the odd mazy run down the road, I drive the car like any sensible family man would do.  So i guess I am looking at tires that don't need changing so often without compromising the safety premium brands provide.

Seriously mate  Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric 2, what you have to keep in mind is that you need a balance. Grip vs wear.

you can get a tyre that will do 50k but will have no grip and put your life in danger. F1 is the perfect balance, if you drive sensibly like you mentioned above you will get plenty from these.

I would say 20-25k is good. I had 20k out of mine on the front and the backs are good for nearly 50k. The Bridgestones RE050A were 27k on the front.

There's no way I could make a set of tyres last 25k miles in Cyprus, was out there few years ago with a hire car an amazing proton savvy 1.2 yea had some fun on the salt flats by Akrotiri and then finished the tyres off in the mountains... One day brand new tyres down to the fabric!

Seriously tho as before I'm looking at putting new tyres on mine all round can't afford to have two sets and will be getting the Eagle F1s as I've read a lot about them and not seen a bad review and at less then £100 a corner you can't go wrong!

mate some Cyprus roads are not really roads, tires wear like hell. in any case F1s seem to be getting quite nice reviews here and elsewhere. 

I tend to switch fronts and rears at every service interval so usually i am left with 4 similarly worn out tires, that way I avoid having to buy 2 tires at a time.

haha yes I know what you mean I spent 3 months in Cyprus youll be driving down a decent road then suddenly with no warning your on a dirt track!

Sport 3's get my vote, had them on my previous car, now have them on the GTD.  Great tyre.

There was a review on tyres in Evo Magazine a few months back, there was nothing in it between the F1's and Pilot Sport 3's really.
