I dont know if its natural for the GTD but comparing it to mk4 gt tdi 130 when gtd has full tank it says 370 miles and mk4 says 450?

Is the gtd wrong???

Drive around until the light come on and find out.

Miles to empty is a calculation based on the assumption that you will carry on driving in the way that you have been most recently. Bumble along a dual carriageway at 40mph for 20 miles, then fill up and it could well give you a range to empty of 900 miles. However if you hoof it for the next 20 miles, that range will drop significantly.

Unless you are driving around town all the time, 370 miles from a tank is pretty poor. I have got over 600 miles from every tank in my Mk6.

Thank you.  I did get confused as my final reading was different to what the miles to empty said. I do a combo of town and motorway. Just checking car isnt faulty

I am driving and changing gear when car tells me to? Does yours actually state the miles to empty with that amount on it? As mine states 370?

I do about 10 miles a day to work. Dont use auto or ac for heating and dont use heated seats.

I dont drive aggressively.  My mpg today was 42 for option 1 and option 2 it said 48??

Does my car need to be looked at?

If you are getting a true 48mpg, you range over a full 55 litre tank should be 576miles.

As I said, run it until the light comes on and see how many miles you have done. Re-fill it to see how much fuel you have used, then work out the true mpg. That's the only way that you'll know if something is wrong.

You can do certain things with the dodgy cables. You can also fry your ECU.

Looked at car done 19.1 miles on full and now on next bold line as if it's used quarter and I am driving like miss daisy following when car tells me to change. ....that aint right surely???

I just want to open the car up or at least not be worried due to the amount of fuel it will use if I drive normally and not battering it.

My mk4 gt tdi 130 was better on fuel and I battered that
