What I notice more than anything else is the way the fuel gauge plumets. Even tho' it does about 32mpg, the tank is tiny, so I can start the week with 3/4 of a tank, do 200miles and it's on the red.
Small tank = less fuel..... less fuel = less weight.... less weight = better mpg....
This is the thinking behind the smaller tanks....

Update, switched the lights to long seems to have made a difference and I have noticed they now go on/off based on the sun/daylight etc.

What do you mean by 'switched foglights to long'?  They are only legal to use in low visibilityss situations, eg fog!

No No I meant the main auto-headlight response time in the CMS menu  I only use fog lights for extreme fog... infact I havent even tested the fog lights out yet to ensure they work

Has maybe someone tryed Philips Xenon Xtreme Vision front lights in MK7? Here is link http://www.philips.co.uk/content/gb/automotive-car-lights/www/en/carlights/headlights-xenon.html?int_origin=2_LI_all_slot1_gb_en_carlights_headlightshalogen_headlightsxenonsubcategory.html so you can see them (for MK7 is type D3S). What do you think abot that lights - are they ok or not? Are they worth to change them for originals?

I have some Philips BlueVision instead of the Xtreme as I wanted them to match the Xenon's more.

So true. I've had to drive my Mk2 for the last couple of days. I had to turn the lights and wipers on myself and everything.

Haha, whenever I drive our old Astra (which believe it or not is only when I have no choice..) I keep trying to drive off with the handbrake on :)

Quick question,
when my Xenon headlights turn on, they auto-test by moving up and down, but when they are in the down position they also go sideways, are those the static cornering lights doing a test also?

Nope, these would be the dynamic cornering lights, which is just the headlight unit swivelling the projector housing for when you go around bends at speed. The static cornering lights are standard H7 halogens, you'll get them on when reversing, or tight cornering at low speed. Just turn your wheel slightly when parked with lights on to see them in action.
