I had a similar one - it worked on my Mk5 golf but it was very limited and I ended up getting vcds anyway. One thing to bear in mind is that these type of tools usually only look at the engine module, so you may not be able to clear other codes i.e. airbag light, brakes etc... and you certainly won't be able to is change some advanced parameters i.e. code cruise control etc...
The other thing is that it's no way as friendly as vcds as it's designed for all OBD2 cars, so you will end up with a code rather than a text description of the fault as in vcds.
One thing you could consider is the bluetooth OBD2 dongles with a suitable apple or android OBD2 app as these have a bit more flexibility (and are cheaper).
It seems to be CAN-bus capable so that should mean it will connect OK.
