This site dead? Anyone know any of the above like how I could check what mods I have I mean theres insulation tape around the injector connector wires why would these need to be taped?

I'm not on my phone now so I'll give a more detailed reply.

Before even thinking about more power you need to make sure yours is running well, you need to establish which turbo you have and what existing mods you have.

Engine code can be found stamped on the block or on the sticker which can be found on the boot floor:

AGU/ARZ - KO3 which is good for 190-195bhp tops

AUM/AUQ - KO3s which is good for 230-240bhp with correct supporting mods.

1 -1.5 BAR is definitely higher than standard boost pressure so it's almost certainly been mapped before. If you can post any mods that you know of and a picture of your engine bay I'm sure we can tell you more.

As far as your rough running you need to scan with VAGCOM for any fault codes as a starting point.

The boost should be progressive, i.e. it doesn't be boosting to 1.5 bar all the time in every gear. Does the power delivery feel smooth or is it hesitant?
