I've taken a slightly different route!
I set the destination on the 'built in NAV' and turn the sound off/right down.
I then put the same location into my iPhone NAV (CoPilot) which has a very good (and regularly updated) speed camera database. I then select the 'Source' on the Media as iPod to play music, but it also announces direction and most importantly speed cameras!! Seem to be pretty much the same direction as selected on the Nav unit but I get the benefit of the big central screen etc.
Seems stupid I know and I'm annoyed speed cameras aren't included on the £1700 Nav Pro unit!! But at least I've found a workable solution.
A good common sense approach to get round a ridiculous situation. Full marks to you Chief
