Yeah was looking at this, need to properly measure the pipe into the airbox though,  I think it's 80mm.

Hmm, could be worth looking into Monsta. Where do you get air box pipe from? Could do with making up a heat shield too.

If you take the filter housing off there is a big pipe sitting there which is fairly short and goes straight into the turbo;



I reckon if you take the box off, measure the internal diameter of the pipe you'll be able to pick up a decent foam filter to stick in there.  That ebay link to the heat shield should do for starters  :smiley:

Good info Monsta. Ideally you would want the open filter to be as close to the left headlight as possible to try and avoid heat soak from the engine. Like you say, a heat shield and suitable hose should work. Wonder where you get intake hose from that can be shaped to fit?
