Great update mate, good to see your enjoying the car.  :cool:
MPG will improve as you put more miles on it, just like most cars too.
I find it strange that so many members on here are not happy with their MPG... I am not expected decent MPG until at the very least past 10/20k miles.  :cool:

I normally get rid of my car and am onto the next at 25k miles, so if the 20k mile theory is true, I don't really see much of my car at it's best. MK7 mpg should be at least as good as MK6 mpg, that's the biggest disappointment. DSG GTDers (including my dad) seem to be seeing better mpg than those with a manual - contrary to official figures that imply DSG should be 10% worse.
