Well, popped into the VW dealer out here in Cyprus today to actually see and have a look around a golf (not a GTI, they don't import them to Cyprus) and I have to say I'm very very glad I chose the Golf over the other option I was thinking of (Astra VXR).
The quality of the finish is superb and the car looks even better in the flesh as it does on photos. Being as I have already put a £3500 deposit on a GTI you can guess how relieved I am!!
Also, I was surprised to learn that the engine options that you can get in a golf out here are the 150PS diesel or the 140PS 1.4 TSI!! Glad I can get one imported from the UK.
It's also got me even more excited about getting mine. Just thought I'd share, lol!!
