Check out my post about MDI cables, posted today.
The blue cable allows music playback
The red cable allows music, album art & movie playback
The new iPhone5 cable I'm not sure it does album art or movie playback.

All very expensive cables....  :angry:

I thought all cars from BW45 onwards came with a lightening (iPhone 5) cable as standard?

Yes they do but I need a iPhone4 cable too. And I'm not sure if the new iPhone5 MDI cable allows album art & movies.
VW charge £70 for iPhone5 cables and £36 for the iPhone4 (red) cable.  :shocked:

My car is also sat at Emden awaiting a ship..... :grin:   another question which know doubt been asked in another thread, but what do we get with the car so I can check it when it's delivered by the dealer, I know the obvious like Manuals etc, but Media Cables, Key Fob covers etc,   anyone know please ?

Well guys I received the phone call this afternoon from my dealer to hand in my BMW X1 for the trade in tomorrow. They are supplying me with a Golf Plus  :huh: till my Gti arrives, which I was told today by VWUK. That I will have it by the 21st at the latest :laugh:, the dealer said by the way it's a diesel which will slow you down a bit!!!
Never mind, a quick clean tomorrow and all paperwork done so all smooth do far!!
It's getting more real now since the dealer wants my Beemer in for trade, a couple of more days with the X1 would be nice till after this snow clears :whistle:

I can confirm the iPhone 5 cable does show album art. I am just going outside (Any excuse :grin:) to try videos.

Yup. I'm in too. Placed my order at the end of August. Was told my GTI would be here end of Jan, but it's being shipped as we speak. Here's hoping I get her before the new year (although doubt it).

Damn shame I couldn't get the reverse camera on my order. Very excited!
