Mirror unfold at unlock

I think its a possibility - a hardware change is unlikely as its such a minor tweak from the previous set-up.

I think it is a nice feature for them NOT to unfold on unlock. The amount of times I lock the car whilst it is on the drive and then have to keep unlocking it to get the kids football and school stuff out. Why would you need them to unfold on unlock - I cannot think of a good reason...if you are in the car and want to use your mirrors, don't lock your car

Mirrors folded in on approach can keep them usefully out of the way when parked in a bay - you can still switch the approach lighting on without moving them out. Quite a handy feature as it turns out.

The mirrors have puddle lights on them which only come on when they are unfolded.   With the unfold on ignition you will never see the lights when unlocking / entering your motor!
