Got a text from the dealer this morning, the car is in build.  He should be able to tell me which boat it will be on by early next week.

Had no such customer service from my dealer. 
Just off the phone with VW customer services, thank you for your help Mohammad.

My car is currently in build, though the tracker hasn't been updated.
What he told me was that due to the Christmas holidays my car will probably be on a boat in the new year, he doubts that it'll be shipped before Christmas. 

He even suggested that I might not see it till February and that I'd be better off waiting for a new 14 plate.
This car better be worth it.

Great link but they dont do the Emden-Dublin route How did you come across that link if you dont mind me asking?

Hi. I found a photo of one of the ships that regularly carries cars from Emden and the ship had UECC on its side. So off I went to their website

Most of us BW 50 will change to build in progress as the online tracker does this automatically when the build week has passed..I think that our cars have already been built and the tracker is one week behind. Do not go by what the tracker is telling you it is only a rough guide as to what is going on. Contact your dealers for a true update.

Yes, my car was BW49, but the tracker didn't move onto Build in Progress until the week after, like yours. It still states it in progress today - But the dealer told me last Tuesday that it's built and waiting at Emden. So Tambourine is right, yours is very much likely to be built already!
