I never had to change DV, no misfire, turbo lag.....was a small issue with the carbonio intake (vacuum caused small hesitation) but fine after small mod.

What was the mod you did to cure the hesitation, Ross?
I am getting an odd hesitation that wasn't there with the standard airbox...so wonder if mine is doing the same.

well there is 2 mods you can do, one more permanent than the other. First is to add 2 or 3 black rubber washers to each screw so it can pass air through where the pipe meets the cone section, rather than been fully sealed.

Or you can drill an inch wide hole on the underneath side of the cone section.

Both is reducing the Vacuum effect with in the cone and allows more air to flow freely and less "sucky" effect. Best i can explain it at 8.45 in the morning  :undecided:

Seriously?
I thought the whole purpose was to have a sealed airbox?

Hmm...
I suppose I could try it and see if it works...thanks

Sealed yes, but not to the point its causing vacuum effect. It will still pull 95% of air from the front grill. The reason why it work better is it kinda discharges the air that wasnt sucked in allowing more fresh air to flow in.

I always used to get the hesitation if i had accelerated a bit, then let of for a second and then went full throttle. It would always been fine from nothing to full throttle, dont know if its the same for you.

only issue normally is Superchips tend to send the manual map rather than the dsg map

i always thought Superchips reset it for free in the first year, also not sure where you stand with the so called warranty if you buy a reset one

Interesting, i found exactly the same, but had it with the standard airbox too, it got a little better with the Carbon intake and i've been adjusting my throttle application to drive around it, quite successfully too :smug:. I thought it may just be a trade off in flexibility for the power, but i shall try spacing out the filter to see if it goes away, Cheers

superchips offer a rest if you not happy within first 30 days - after that you have to £225 i think

Can't you get bluefin to adjust the map due to the carbonio being fitted
Sure I read someone else did that!

The map they send is generic to some degree designed for the standard air box
Golf GTI 09, CW, Bi-Xenon, DCC, 18" Monza's, Jakarta, RNS510, Dynaudio, F&R parking sensors, Winter pack...

that was me that said, which they did. but after a few days it didnt feel like it had that low end punch, so i rang them and they had adjusted the map so the boost came on later (like 3500 to 4000) which i dint want. I want the boost mice an early.

So after researching on the american forum (more people using APR carbonio) i found this simple solution which loads of people said worked
