Volkswagon racing catback
« on: 21 October 2013, 16:50 »
Just about to push the button on buying a vw racing catback with the black tips. Has anyone on here got/one, and can offer any plus or minus's. I know its a miltek so the quality is going to be there.

i have a complete 3" Milltek race system so downpipe and cat back with Milltek 35 tips I have just taken off my Edition 35 and sat in my garage waiting for the rain to stop so i can complete cleaning it and take some pictures, zorst is just over 15 months old.

The reason I don't have black tips is Milltek had some quality issues with them last year so couldn't supply them and i actually liked the chrome so never bothered changing

Few piccies off Milltek site

The complete system is around £1,400+ depending where you shop

Will be looking for £700 collected from Oxford

Don't you need stage 2 to run this exhaust to ensure no warning lights or is this not the case?

I fitted a 3" turbo back system 1 week prior to getting the stage 2 map, and it brought my warning light on straight away. The map fixes this! £700 is a bargain! Get it haha

looking at selling the 35 in the new year so decided to take all the performance mods off before Christmas as car doesn't get much use over the winter, i'll take the chassis bits off when i've ordered its replacement

car had a really nice burble and sounded purposeful without being boomy, you need a stage 2 to run the full tbe, catback you can run standard

my car has no map on at the moment and you do miss the midrange
