why are people turning the air con off? leave mine on all the time in auto mode and if the screen fogs up (which it does) just blast it with the screen button.

Better fuel economy mostly

Hi,

I dont need to get any fog in my Polo unless I leave the vent turned towards the windscreen.
Also I always turn off AC before turning off the car, this should close off all external AC inlet vents.
I trick to combat any moisture is to use the silica gel packets which you find in most electrical goods boxes and leave some in your car over night. This will soak up any moisture in the car.
You can also buy silica gel packets online, some which are re-usable once dried out.

I've found that if you have air con on all of the time the problem is worse, maybe it stores the moisture somehow?

A clean with a good glass polish once a month helps a lot.
