mk4 golf 2.0 8v gti injector problem
« on: 27 September 2013, 17:09 »
Hi guys i have a dec 2000 mk4 golf 8v gti and recently it has been running very lumpy. i have replaced the lambada sensor recently and its always been serviced every year. checked plugs and leads and they seem fine, i took one of the injector leads off and there was no difference but when i took one of the other side it ran even worse so i now think i might have an injector problem. there is 140000 miles on my car and im lookin to sell it but i wouldnt sell it to someone with it running bad. do injectors have to carry same part numbers?

cheers

check the HT leads, plugs and coil pack TBH,

ive had injectors fail its not unknown  but coilpack and leads are a damb sight more common problems
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

i ordered a second hand fuel injector of ebay but the part number doesnt match does this matter seeing the engines are exactly the same? i have new plugs going in tomorrow as its due a service but its being sold as need a bigger car so dont really want to spend alot of cash on it but i wont sell the car unless its running 100% and has full years ticket on it.
