I thought newly registered cars didn't need a tax disc to drive off the forecourt?

Good evening every one it's my first day on hear. And I been reading some very interesting things about MK7 GTI's + GTD orders. I payed for my car 2weeks ago and still don't have a order number. Can any one tell me if that's normal? And I was told I will get my car march 2014. I'm thinking about pulling out this deal altogether. So could some one shed some light on this for me thanks. :rolleyes:

Your dealer should be able to provide an order number within a couple of days of placing the order.

I got my number a week after placing the order  - I had to ask my dealer for it.  Have you spoken with them?
