So was speaking to my cousin's bf today, he tells me his mate ordered a new GTI 6 weeks ago and has been promised it in 4-6 weeks time, guaranteed. His dad works for VW you see.

I was really pleased for him, and it cheered me right up.

If this happens i would be complaining to VW head office!! >:(

I second.

If fact I'd call them now except they're lines are closed by now.  And they'd probably just deny it.

Oh it won't make a blind bit of difference but a complaint is a complaint, might get something for it as well as making your feelings known!

I'm right with ya' on that one.  I'm quick to complain when required, but also quick to praise too - works both ways.

Exactly! I'll bet i get the call a few weeks after collection asking for my thoughts on the experience? I will most definately be giving an honest appraisal, my dealer has been pretty decent but the fact i've had to wait so long even though i was among the first in the queue makes my piss boil!! >:(

Oh I'm sure the call will happen!  To be fair my dealer has been pretty good too, not always as responsive as I'd like, but courteous and listened to my constant demands on not putting this and that on the car.

I feel for those in positions such as yourself though, sucks  :(

I thought this the most appropriate thread for today's story.

Had the afternoon off and got a bit carried away going round the shops inpatient for the car to arrive. Ordered some VW accessories from the dealer, then went looking for detailing products and somehow at the last minute threw in a dual action polisher with them. Came home quickly and skilfully (in my opinion) hid all the new products amongst the old ones in the garage from the wife.

School boy error however, left my wallet with receipts poking out on the kitchen worktop  :embarrassed:

Was expecting an evening of silent treatment and having to go out to get a takeaway. But could never have imagined the real horror that was coming.

I have now had to agree to spending the long weekend visiting (and worse staying with) her sister, her four horrid sticky children and her husband that talks about nothing but Golf (the OAP sport not the car!)

Worse.... I have to drive there and back in my MK5  I think I need a beer....
Ordered: Mk7 GTI | 3-Door | Pure White | DSG | Leather | Performance Pack | 19" Santiago | DynAudio

It could be worse, the sticky children could be staying at your house for the weekend getting finger prints all over your furniture and car.  Just as well you have not got the MK7 GTI yet.  I am sure the kids will get it mucky in some way indescribable.
