Vw racing mods
« on: 09 August 2013, 10:30 »
Already thinking of my first mods for my 35 edition. Been looking at miltek catback, also looking at vw racing catback and cold air intake. Anyone on here had any experience with the vw racing products??

VWR zorsts used to be made by Milltek, not sure if this is still the case with APR tie up, you can get 35 tips if you go for the Milltek

VWR intake is made by ITG, you need to ditch the engine cover to run it, nice piece of kit, my only criticism was VWR did not adopt ITGs optimum solution for the pipework to the turbo from a perfoamnce purists point of view

if i went closed intake the VWR one be my choice (given they have exclusivity on ITG stuff)

Do the tts engine cover modification personally I think the carbonic is a waste of time and I'd stay standard

Wow that looks cool. So I could use the vwr intake with that cover. Where can I pick up one of those covers?? Sorry for all the questions but I'm new to vw's.

you can get the engine cover and screws from Audi parts department, all be it the cover will resemble this

The Revo one is noisier than the VWR (ran one on my Scirocco) and took a bit of getting used to as i thought i had Darth Vader in the glove box

Only other open one i'd consider is Evoms (Evolution Motorsport)
