No Mate because they will scan for fault codes and get nothing like me then they will start picking at items like I have. Tried everything now but no joy. I have a couple of small options left now which I will try tomorrow then I am completly stumped......cannot understand how nothing is showing itself as I go though things one by one

Yeah true. Unless you know them you never know what they might falsely diagnose

Only one bloke by me who I trust with my car and he would just experiment with each part in turn like I have. Was just hoping someone on here would have been through the same thing and may have a solution that I have overlooked but does not look lime it

Well I finally give up and took it to the garage. First time a Mark 3 has beaten me completely. I have changed, checked and cleaned everything that could be the fault and still no better. At least it starts and runs now but no idle so at least I could drive it to the garage !!!!!
