This is why I am going to get 3M transparent stone-chip protection - no chips
I ordered in January but now I am getting impatient - due to be build week starting 27th March.  Maybe I should go to Wolfsburg and make sure they do it properly

Sounds like a plan illyun!  How about we pick the motors up and get some 3M covering on the way back

How much for the bonnet covering matey?  Sounds like a good investment...

Does anyone have any thoughts on supaguard?

Hello,
i'm also torn between black and blue graphite. I started on red but went off that when a saw one in the metal (they look great in magazine reviews). Then I decided on black, went to place my order and spotted a blue graphite Jetta in the showroom, this threw me into turmoil and I came away without ordering. I know black is a "classic" GTI colour and I wonder if the blue graphite will affect residuals. Also, if i go for black, does the metallic look £350 better than the solid and is there any difference in scratch resistance/wear/ageing?

                                                   Cheers,

I haven't got a price from the dealer as yet but judging from what VW Main Dealer said, I might be better off going to a specialist who does this as the one offered by the main dealers doesn't look very nice - and may not be easily removable.  The one I have seen is easily removable and hard to spot.

http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/!ut/p/kcxml/04_Sj9SPykssy0xPLMnMz0vM0Y_QjzKLN4g3MvYDSYGYxqb6kWhCjhgihkFBEDHDoGCYmKU7hjJjR6iYsZMzQswVQ8zI2AtDr5GJEUTM0sgHoc4Hoc7XIz83VT8oNS8-NFjfWz9AvyA3FAoiyh0dFRUBHhASKg!!/delta/base64xml/L0lJYVEvd05NQUFzQURzQUVBLzRJVUZDQSEhLzZfMF8yM1AvZW5fVVM!

take a look at the above link and see the FAQ section - no yellowing of the film occurs and it is removable  :nerd:

Also these people say their product is better than 3M - www.rhinoprotect.com - and costs £349.99 for the Golf
