What's with the extra handles on the windows? It can't be security as you have external glazing beads and wedge gaskets.

My misses washed the car yesterday, snow foamed etc.
I did have to tell her not to wash the wheels first which she tried to do, and she put the wash mitt on the floor.  :angry:

Overall turned out not a bad job. The cars nothing special but Dont think id let her loose on her own on it though.

i wouldnt trust the wife to wash her own car let alone mine.

This. I wouldn't let her near it !

I always to the wheels, arches and exhaust first. Then with my best mitt and buckets, wash the rest of the car from the top down.

Leaving the wheels until last, means when pressure washing them, there is more chance of dirt spraying up the side of the car you have just washed. This means having to clean it again. More contact = more risk of swirls.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Just to even things up.....

I am the 'wife' and I wouldn't let my bloke anywhere near my car with a wash mitt!  He's lucky I let him drive it from time to time  :tongue:
