how on earth do you get an 8 valve agg to rev to 8500k? did you put the cylinder head on without the valves in it lol

Stage 2 crossflow head, Hi flow valve kit, springs, retainers etc, light followers, high lift cam, vernier pulley and a lightened fly.

Lovely looking engine bay and nice to see someone tuning the 8v rather than doing a conversion.

mate go for a 16v box and fit a VR6 final drive

mine is similar ratios to this however iv got the mk4 02J box from a mk4 GTI 2.08v  (same ratios as 16v mk3 but ib fitted a Wavetrac limited slip diff and VR6 Final drive, seen my car bounce off the 160 MPH mark

Ahh cool, been trying to come up with a solution. Can i get a VR6 Fd loose or will I have to buy both full boxes??

My car seems to hit 127 in 4th with 1.5k left.
130 with about 2.5k left to pull in 5th :(

Would a LSD be worth the expense??

Thanks for the advice buddy.

I bought a FD off a vr6 owner who had installed a 16v FD ( so he got better acceleration)

But u may find it easier to just get the vr box and get it stripped

My LSD is a wavetrac and not cheap at nearly £1000 when u get the APR bolts etc
But their are Cheaper alternatives

I'm at around the 350 BHP mark and I have to say its the best mod I did was the gearbox

It's worth it all mate honest..
