« on: 10 July 2013, 22:28 »
as above got myself a mk4 gti 1.8t agu engine with 114k. depends on the car i might break it (good for you guys) or keep it and use the engine on my anni as some may know. anway guys i wll be asking alot of help from you 1.8t boys

few things i can think from top of my head is:

fmic- merc sprinter?
forge recirc 007p or 008?
vr6 3" maf?
Forge FM180IND Silicone Inlet Hose T.I.P?

now it will have a k03, but will defo upgrade to a hybrid, now im thinking is there a k04 hybrid?
also should i get the 3" straight pipe? will it work with the k03 or k03's?

anything else i have missed?

the damage is minor just a dent in arch and bumper scratched and hanging a bit.
Anway to the point lads.
Will i be ok with a 3" downpipe from a k03? Not k03s (as i will be getting it after and doing things bit by bit)

3" downpipe will fit both ko3 and ko3s. As for your other mods it really depends on the kind of power you're aiming for.

Before you do anything make sure the engine is running well, as a minimum I'd do an oil/filter change and check for split boost pipes. When were the cambelt/waterpump last done? Waterpumps are renowned for failing. Oil pickup pipes also get blocked so is worth replacing if there is no record of it being done.

Once the car is running ok then look at mods, either forge d/v will be fine, TIP is a must, personally I'd get a full hose set as well, forge and ths intercoolers fit well, alternatively search for 'wellycooler' and take a look. I'd also think about air intake, again there's a comprehensive thread about if already if you search.

What power are you aiming for?
