The last feature was cool, but pointless.... Seeing as all those companies are owned by foreign countries!
The point was not who owned them, but who makes them. Made by people in Britain.
Anybody could own a company, all that takes is money or financial backing; but designing and making stuff is where the skill is.

I wonder how that episode will go down in Germany...

Anyone watch the programme that came after TG on BBC2?
Talking about what went wrong with the British motor industry and what the Germans did right?
Das Auto: The Germans, Their Cars and Us
Quite interesting and some great vintage car ads too.
I watched that, it was very interesting but i couldn't help thinking that it was being very generous about the quality of German cars which are not always as good as they made them out to be.

Pretty sure the 'mountains' where James drove the bus was cheddar gorge in somerset, its not a bad bit of road but you'd have to go there in winter as its full of shed draggers in summer.

yes it was, but I think I recall he said he was driving there anyway, or alluded to it

thought sundays was a bit crap tbh

as much as i love the jag ftype, old news now...

the buss thing was pointless, amusing at times but pointless.

mark in the reasonably priced car i enjoyed, which i normally turn over for the star in reasonably priced car part cause its always boring.

and the end bit with all the english cars was a bit boring too... just a load of short clips of people driving around london then parked on a streed

yawn...

New series next sunday!

They're going to compare old hot hatches to the new equivalents, GTI?
Currently pootling around in our family wagen, a Tiguan SEL 😂
