Replaced the starter motor and still nothing, ever since ive had the car i noticed sometimes i would turn the key all the way but there was nothing, id have to take the key out and put it in again and then it would fire, would this be the switch?

Yea switch sounds suspect

Is a guide somewhere on here or vortex

did you not see reply number 6? could have saved yourself the trouble of changing the starter motor. anyway. try turning the key right over to start position. then push it in towards steering column. had same problem on a vw transporter recently.

yeah my money is on that to. you could check for continuity between starter motor trigger wire and the ignition barrel wiring block first to confirm there is no break in wire. if that checks out okay and both starter motors were fine then I would renew the ignition switch. oh is your main earth lead okay?
