Air con has stopped working. Took it to quick fit and after 1 hour the guy says there is something wrong with the car as it didn't work. The car is making like an interference noise if that makes sence. Anyone any ideas ?

Mine stopped working after they replaced the engine, they dealer had cracked a small pipe during the refit.

Been to 2 garages now and both say it's fully gassed and the system says everything is ok but still no cool air coming through … any ideas ?

Have a look at the centre bolt on the compressor chances are its loose so will need a new compressor

Bought the compressor from eBay. Now to get it fitted ASAP. The garage want to charge £80 labour and £50 to gas it

Just booked mine in for this too after months of the noise doing my head in. They think it either needs a new compressor or re-gasing?

Anyone know if you can get the old pump reconditioned ?
Must be worth a shot since they are £550 from vw
