Asr light flashing - loss of power

Shouldn't that only happen if the asr is on, just stops the car from lighting up

It will still cut in even if you switch it off, it is always working in the background from what I was told.

Had a quick look at maf and it looked fine but I don't really know what I was lookin for the "gates" on either side wee not blocked although the clip that goes on the top of it had a couple of split plastics bit inside if that makes seance

I've changed the maf for a gen Bosch one and had new coil packs fitted but still misfiring

Any ideas???
